Google Analytics is a free and powerful analytics tool provided by Google. It helps us diagnose issues, see how customers are arriving at your website, and make tweaks to ensure best performance.
Google announced that GA3 would be going away and replaced with GA4, and gave a shutting down date of July 1, 2023. That seems like a long time but it's really not.
The issue is that GA3. data cannot be migrated into GA4 properties, and GA3 data will be lost on that date.
Google's recommendation is to have GA3 and GA4 set up and running in parallel for as long as possible. Then when GA3 is deprecated, it's much easier to make the switch to GA4, and there will be a year of data to work from on the switch date.
If your a customer of Culprit Design, you have no need to worry. We have set up all our customers websites to be running GA3 and GA4 as advised. Data is currently being collected by Google as per their recommendations.
Nothing, if your a customer of Culprit Design and are using our Litespeed Hosting subscription. It's included in the monthly update cost, and done completely free.
Luckily for you - no! It's very boring and technical.
It sure is. Rank Math has put lot of work into ensuring that the data in their systems is Google Analytics 4 ready - which is great news for us and our customers, since we have it tightly integrated with all our websites.
